Neuroscience Pain Management

Stop Letting Pain Control Your Life

Address pain at its physical and neurological roots

It’s easy to forget that pain, like every sensation in your body, is produced by the brain. That’s why treating pain requires a two-pronged approach—addressing the physical causes of pain (such as injury) along with your mind’s interpretation of those pain signals.

That’s what the neuroscience of pain management is all about. We take a comprehensive approach to treating pain at all levels so you can enjoy your life once again.

Experts in Pain Management Neuroscience Pain Management

Dr. Carlos Pineda III, one of our founders, is a Therapeutic Pain Specialist who has completed a fellowship in Pain Science. For more than a decade, Dr. Pineda has helped his patients reduce and even eliminate chronic pain, using techniques backed by the latest science.

One Size Never Fits All

Treating pain requires a specialized plan tailored to your unique situation, which is why we begin with an individual assessment to identify its root causes. If the source of your pain is an injury, we will (of course) treat the injury, but we don’t stop there.

Pain is strongly related to things like emotional stress, the way you move your body, lifestyle choices, and even your day-to-day thoughts.

We’ll look at everything that may be impacting the level of pain you experience, and we’ll design a custom plan that lets you take charge of your pain—and your life.

Embracing the Latest Innovations

Our physical therapists are trained in the latest evidence-based pain management treatments designed to reduce, manage, and in many cases even eliminate pain.

We’ll begin by educating you about the origin of your pain and how your body perceives pain as a threat. By reducing that threat response (and the stress associated with it), we can ease you into movement exercises, which increase blood flow to the affected area and ultimately reduce pain. We’ll also focus on joint mobilization and other techniques that address the physical nature of your pain.

Additionally, we’ll work on factors like sleep hygiene, as sleep is essential to pain management. Together we’ll set clear goals for overcoming pain and discomfort. It’s all part of a comprehensive approach to helping you conquer pain and get your life back.
