Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to an accessible website, what we’ve done, and how to reach us if something isn’t working for you. Last reviewed September 2026.

Our commitment

The PT People wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website to learn about our clinic, find the right service, and request an appointment. We’ve worked to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most commonly used to measure digital accessibility.

What we’ve done

This site was built and then reviewed specifically for accessibility. That review included:

  • A skip-to-content link, clear landmarks, and a single, consistent heading structure on every page.
  • Descriptive alternative text on photos, staff portraits and downloadable exercise handouts.
  • Forms with real labels, clear error messages, and keyboard-operable multi-step booking and insurance-check forms.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators, a keyboard-operable navigation menu (including the mobile menu), and no keyboard traps.
  • Content that respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting, and a pause control on the homepage’s animated headline.
  • Color combinations checked against WCAG contrast requirements, with fixes applied where they could be made without changing the visual design our client approved.
  • Pages that remain readable and usable if a browser has JavaScript turned off.

Ongoing review

Accessibility isn’t a one-time fix. We periodically re-test this site, including with automated tools and manual keyboard testing, and we address issues as they’re found, including ones reported by visitors.

Known limitations

We aren’t aware of any parts of this site that are inaccessible. A few things are worth knowing about:

  • Our patient testimonial videos are hosted on YouTube and use YouTube’s own captioning. If a caption looks wrong or missing on one of them, let us know using the contact details below and we’ll follow up with YouTube.
  • Our downloadable patient forms are PDF files exported from Microsoft Word with tagging enabled for screen readers. If a specific form doesn’t read well for you, call or email us and we’ll get you the information another way right away.
  • This site links out to third-party sites we don’t control (Google Maps, insurance carriers, review sites). We can’t guarantee the accessibility of those sites.

Let us know
