Careers

A PT job you don’t need a second job to afford.

One full-time licensed physical therapist role at our Lakewood clinic. Base salary, bonus and benefits are structured so that one job is enough.

One job should be enough. We build the pay that way.

You did not get licensed so you could pick up per diem shifts on your day off.

We would rather our physical therapists not work multiple jobs to support their living, unless they genuinely want to. Burnout is what happens when they have to.

So base salary, bonus structure and benefits are put together as one package, with the whole thing designed to hold on its own.

That is the offer. Everything below is detail.

The role

  • Full-time licensed physical therapist, California license required.
  • At our Lakewood clinic, where physical therapy and a dozen specialty services share one building.
  • Experience in physical therapy is preferred, not required.
  • Comfortable across age groups. Our caseload leans older and leans neurological, so balance, gait, stroke and Parkinson’s come with the territory.
  • Strong with patients and straight with colleagues. Both matter here.

Every visit is one-on-one with the same therapist. You own the evaluation, you own the plan, and you see it through to an endpoint. Nobody hands you a room with three patients in it.

What comes with it

  • Medical, dental and vision.
  • 401(k).
  • Accrued PTO and holiday pay.
  • CEU reimbursement.
  • Flexible scheduling.
  • A structured mentorship program with unlimited CEUs.

The mentorship is the part people underestimate. Coming out of school, or coming back after a stretch away, the difference is having someone senior who is expected to teach you rather than someone who might if there is time.

The team you would be joining

Growth-minded and team-oriented, which are easy words, so here is what they mean day to day.

Loyalty to the people beside you. Collaboration instead of territory. Room to bring a better idea and have it actually tried.

Our clinical team is small enough that you will know everyone’s name and what they are good at. You can meet them on the staff page.

If you want to see the work itself before you write, start with what we treat and services.

How to apply

Use the application form below: your name, phone, email and resume. A person on our team reads every one.

Prefer email? Send your resume to frontdesk@theptpeople.com, or call (562) 512-3320 and ask about the physical therapist role.

Tell us where you are licensed, what you have worked with, and what you want to get better at next.

Before you write: openings change. Get in touch first to confirm what is currently open, and we will tell you straight.

One more year of doubling up is a year you do not get back

Second jobs do not stay temporary. They quietly become the plan.

If you are reading a careers page on your day off, some part of you has already decided. Send the application.
