Website Privacy Policy

What we collect through this website, how we use it, and how to ask us to delete it. Effective August 2026.

About this policy

Effective August 2026.

This policy explains how The PT People handles information you give us through this website: our contact form, our appointment request form, and our insurance benefits check.

This is a website privacy policy. It is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Your protected health information as a patient of the clinic is governed by our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide to patients directly. Ask the front desk for a copy at any time.

What we collect

  • Contact and appointment requests. Your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us about why you are getting in touch.
  • Benefits check submissions. The details needed to check your therapy coverage, which can include your insurance carrier, your plan, and your member ID.
  • Basic website analytics. Standard technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.

We do not ask for medical records, diagnoses or payment card numbers through this website. Please do not send them through a web form.

Only submit what a form asks for. If your question needs more detail than a form comfortably holds, call us instead.

How we use it

  • To answer you, and to schedule or reschedule an appointment.
  • To check your insurance benefits when you have asked us to.
  • To follow up on a request you started and did not finish.
  • To understand how the site is used, so we can make it clearer.
  • To meet our legal and professional obligations.

We do not sell your information.

Service providers

This website is hosted, and its forms are delivered, by third-party service providers. That means a form submission passes through their systems on the way to us.

They are permitted to use it only to provide those services to us, not for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our patients, our staff or the public.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and consent to text messages, we may text you about your appointment or your request.

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.

You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. That stops the texts. It does not cancel your appointment, so call us if you need to change one.

Consenting to texts is never a condition of receiving care.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to measure general usage.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking them may stop parts of the site from working properly.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

Email frontdesk@theptpeople.com or call (562) 512-3320 and tell us what you would like done. We will ask you to confirm your identity before we act on the request.

One limit worth knowing: information that has become part of your clinical record is kept as required for a healthcare provider, and is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices rather than under this policy.

You can also ask us to stop contacting you for anything other than your care.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child through it. A parent or guardian should submit forms on a child’s behalf.

If you believe a child has sent us information here, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and links to other sites

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Pages here may link to sites we do not run, such as an insurance carrier. Their privacy practices are their own, so read theirs when you get there.

Changes and how to reach us

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
